Day 1 MAUMERE - ARRIVAL
On arrival at Waioti Airport of Maumere direct drive 12 km to eastern Maumere town ( 15 minutes drive ) then check in at FLORES SAO RESORT and having lunch. After lunch, afternoon tour to tradidtional market ( D )

Day 2 MAUMERE – DETUSOKO
Breakfast at hotel. Drive up to Moni and for 4 hours with several stops at Ledalero – a major Catholic Seminary – to visit the museum with its various collection of local royal families old portraits, antique hand woven clothes, stagedeon fossils, etc. Proceed to Moni village to visit Kowanara village famous for its traditional Lionese houses, stone seats and traditional sacred cemetery. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Wolowaru. Continue drive to Sikka village – a center of “Ikat” weaving to see the traditional weaving process and an old church built in the 16th century. Proceed to DETUSOKO for overnight with several stops made according to local happenings. ( B, L, D )

Day 3 DETUSOKO - BAJAWA
After an early morning breakfast at 5.30 drive up to Kelimutu volcano to see the three colored lakes. Upon arrival walk for 1.5 km and then ascend 127 steps to top to view Kelimutu’s green, blue and black lakes. A Dutch geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914; at the time the lakes were red, blue, and white. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant en route. After lunch, continue drive to Bajawa with several stops made according to local happenings. Proceed to hotel for overninght ( B, L, D )

Day 4 BAJAWA - RUTENG
Breakfast at hotel. Drive overland to Ruteng – a cool and small town as the capital city of Manggarai Regency where major Mangarainese tribe dwelt with visit to :

Traditional village of Bajawa tribes. Visit Bena – a megalithic village where people do preserve their ancestral spirits believed and way of life which can be seen in their “Ngadhu” and “Bhaga” – conical thatched roof huts symbolized their Male and Female acestral spirits.
Ø
On the way stop on the slope of Inerie active volcano for taking pictures.
Ø
Wogo - another traditional Bajawanese village through scenic road where you can enjoy beautiful panorama of the valley with sea as the background.
Ø
Boawae – village of Nagekeo tribes to observe their tradition and culture
Ø
Ende – for having lunch at a local restaurant
Ø
On the way to Ruteng, stop will be made to see Arak processing distillation and fresh palm juice topping, then drive to Ramanese Lake. Proceed to hotel in Ruteng for overnight. ( B, L, D )

Day 5 RUTENG – LABUAN BAJO
Breakfast at hotel. Start to explore the distinct tribes in Flores island ( Mangarai, Bajawa, Lio, Sikka etc. ). On the way stops will be made at Lembor and Cancar where you can see the beautiful panorama of rice fields with lush and dry hills. Then continue drive to Labuan Bajo for overnight. Lunch and dinner will be provided at the local restaurant en route. ( B, L, D )

Day 6 LABUAN BAJO – KOMODO ISLAND
After breakfast at 6.00 AM cruise to Komodo Island for about 3 hours by a local wooden boat passing several small islands. Upon arrival in Komodo island, walk 1.5 miles to Banugulung to see the activities of giant Monitor Lizard “Komodo Dragon” which was scientifically described in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS, which is up to 3 m long and about 150 kg weight The Total number of these lizards is estimated at 3.500 – 5.000 inhabited in Komodo, Padar, Rinca Island and western Flores. Back to the wooden boat for overnight. Lunch will be served on boat . Overnight on board( B, L, D )

Day 7 KOMODO ISLAND - BIMA
After breakfast, have an opportunity to swim or snorkle on clean white sandy beaches. Lunch will be served on boat . Boating back to Sape then drive for 40 km to Bima. Upon arrival direct check-in to La Mbitu Hotel ( B, L, D )

Day 8 BIMA - DENPASAR
Breakfast at hotel. At the appropriate time transfer clients to airport for your onward flight to your next destination. ( B ) |
